Tobago
Last Wednesday I joined ASJA Boys and teacher Mr. Ashmead Ali on a Caribbean Studies field trip to our beautiful sister isle. Party of 34 : 23 students, 11 adults ....... go figure!
We took a bus tour of Tobago, from Crown Point to Charlottesville. Included was a drive through Tobago Plantations followed by a trek along its mangrove boardwalk. Scenic, untouched - an eco tourism haven. Our friendly tour guides even pointed out the area where Dwight and Brian will be constructing their vacation homes. Lucky guys!
We were also fortunate to get a tour of Grafton Beach resort, including the gym and spa. Hoteliers and Tourism Assoc. President, Rene Seepersadsingh greeted us and gave a short talk on tourism in Tobago. The resort was quite full with 'winter' tourists, suntanning poolside. Eye candy for all!

The low point of the day for the students: not being allowed to bathe/swim. Ministry rules. Dat is dat.
For me it was a one-day vacation as I was off duty - that's right,
no babysitting!
So I got to enjoy everything, including Buccoo Reef.
Our little 'sister' is truly breathtaking.
