Wondrous Wednesday with Wendy and the Warriors!
Wednesday 16th November, 2005
What an amazing day at ASJA!!!
First, 'Miss Universe 1998' Wendy Fitzwilliam visited ASJA as part of the 'Guardian in Education Making a Difference' school tour. She was truly an inspiration to the girls. As intelligent as she is tall!
Then our beloved SocaWarriors led us to the World Cup 2006 finals with a 1-0 win over boisterous Bahrain. We were ecstatic!!! Teachers wore red, students sported red wristbands, rags, ribbons, national flags....... I chose to wear black and white : the Warriors' colours for that game. But ........ alas! Few in school recognised my choice of attire. I kept answering: "Miss, whey yuh red???" However, my Carnival behaviour (yikes!) in the yard when TnT scored, erased all doubt in their minds that I might be indifferent!
AM: Wendy Fitzwilliam had our girls star-struck!
PM : Yipppeeee!!!
TnT qualifies for World Cup 2006 finals !!!
